Karen Hilltribes Trust Coffee Mornings and Compassion

KHT is fortunate to have a network of amazing ex-volunteers who have supported KHT well after their time in Mae Hong Son. Most of our trustees are previous volunteers, including our Chairperson, Beth.

Beth recently organised a stall at a local community coffee morning to raise funds for our work. She baked delicious cakes and provided information to those attending on KHT and why our work is so special. Beth’s husband, Andy, is also an ex-volunteer, and she also shared a picture of their time in Mae Hong Son and they were both able to talk about their own experiences.

The event raised more than £350 and this can help us either fund a scholarship student for 6 months, a school bus for 3 months or help install a water filter. The support we get from members of our KHT community is vital in helping us continue our work. We would like to say a big ‘thank you!’ to Beth and her family, as well as everyone that helped make the event such a success.

You can donate now and support our efforts and if you would like to fundraise for KHT, we have a special pack with lots of ideas for you to download.
