We are proud to celebrate sending our seniors on to their next steps! Through Karen Club, our students find a place to connect and make friends, learn from others, and explore new opportunities. Here are the words of some of our 2023-2024 students on their experiences in Karen Club, including the graduates.

Mary Wah – 9th grade
“One specific memory that I enjoyed was Ms. Mular had an activity for us to write a letter to our senior club members. I thought ending programming with writing that letter was a good send-off to our senior club member. He has helped us a lot and made programming fun. I wrote a very long letter to him because he means so much to me.”
Eh Dah Ler Wah – 6th grade
“I enjoyed flag football, dodgeball, and freeze tag because I never played this before. I am the youngest, and the older people helped me become more comfortable with who I am. They looked out for me and helped me a lot. Whenever I picked them to be on my team, they were delighted to play with me.”
Graduate Mae Ra:
“My future plans include going to college, finding a job, working, and traveling. My favorite memory in Karen club is Mr. Pong always bringing food. I enjoyed playing games and talking with friends. I want to be an assistant somewhere in the medical field. Yes, I would recommend Karen club to other students. And something I’m proud of is career pathway classes and college classes and passing with college credits!”
Graduate Ka Bawn:
“I am planning to attend college this fall. There are a lot of things that I’ve achieved while being in school such as joining a club, getting A’s in every class, and finishing high school with a high GPA. I would like to invite all of the different races to join Karen club because it is a fun club to hang out with, make friends, and enjoy different kinds of Karen stories. I hope to become a nurse and go to nursing school in the future.”
Over the summer, our youth are staying connected through weekly programming and field trips planned by our amazing youth staff team. We hope to see many of them back next school year!
