The Karen Wrist Tying Festival celebration took place at the Karen Teacher Training College on August 31, 2023. A local leader opened the ceremony with a melodious poem. KTTC students proudly showcased various aspects of Karen culture, presenting captivating Don Dances, Bamboo Dances, Pestel Dances, Rope Dances, and rhythmic poems.
The local elder encouraged the Karen youth, emphasizing the significance of the wrist-tying tradition. The event saw the participation of a total of 311 attendees, including students and teachers from the Karen Youth Women Leadership School and Karen Teacher Training College, as well as local leaders and community members.
